BLACK AND BROWN UNITY

This one right here is dedicated to all my Black and Brown people out there. Listen up, and listen closely. I'ma speak on some things, and it's on y'all to move how you want.

La Raza: The Brown Berets (Los Boinas Cafes), a pro-Chicano movement founded by, David Sanchez, that began it's uprising in the 1960s as more Mexicans began to RETURN to parts of their motherland in California. Specifically in Los Angeles and other parts of Southern California. Their main focus centered around protecting the farm workers, education reform, and preventing police brutality. Not only did they have their own news paper (La Causa), but they also ran a free clinic.

The Black Panthers: A pro-Black, African American, revolutionary movement founded by, Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton, in the 1960s. Similar to The Brown Berets, The Black Panthers fought for education reform, supplied free food for any child of color, and required legal gun licenses from their members, so that they could legally practice "open carry" while armed, policing the police.

Which brings me to this post, and these pictures. Both movements were filled with extremely smart, and intelligent men and women. Both movements were created to prevent the tragedies that follow when racism is allowed in our communities. And it was because of this understanding, both parties had joined forces in the fight for equality together. That's what you see in the first picture, that's what Black and Brown UNITY really looks like.

Now listen up, because this is where I end up having to throw down with Black and Brown foos for speaking it how it is. Gangbangin and drugs done turned us into each other's worse enemies. But we gotta stop that nonsense, because less than 50yrs ago we were familia. We were brothers and sisters to each other. We gotta get back to that, and learn to love each other again. Stop being on that same ol' bullshit that we were taught to be on. Y'all see me on both sides, solo. If I can do it, y'all can too. My Black and Brown brothers and sisters, look how beautiful we are together. Unify.
